About Asia Aviation

Vichate Tantiwanich has served as Chairman of the Board at Asia Aviation PLC since February 2018. He holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Hartford, Connecticut, and a BA in Economics from Chulalongkorn University. He has completed executive education programs at Oxford University and the Wharton School, as well as the National Defence Course at Thailand National Defence College.

Asia Aviation operates Thai AirAsia, which commenced operations in September 2003 with two Boeing 737 aircraft. The airline now operates a fleet of 62 Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, serving 17 countries across 22 domestic and 39 international destinations on 91 routes. Thai AirAsia maintains a 41% share of the domestic aviation market.

The airline operates from Bangkok Don Mueang International Airport as its primary hub and Phuket International Airport as a secondary hub.
